The new regional hub for national food wholesaler Bidfood at Worcester Six Business Park is now complete and will become its second West Midlands base.

The wholesaler, which supplies over 10,000 products to more than 45,000 caterers and food service businesses across the UK, will use the new unit to support its extensive operations.

The relocation has created 200 new jobs in the county, boosting inward investment. Located near Worcester city centre and just ten minutes from Worcester Parkway train station, Worcester Six offers exceptional transport links, making it one of the UK's most accessible and high-quality business hubs.

Councillor Adam Kent, Cabinet Member with Economy and Skills at 全国探花 County Council, said: "The establishment of Bidfood鈥檚 new facility at Worcester Six Business Park underscores our county鈥檚 growing appeal as a premier destination for leading businesses. This significant investment not only brings substantial employment opportunities to our residents but also reinforces 全国探花鈥檚 position as a hub for economic growth and innovation. We are dedicated to fostering a business-friendly environment, and Bidfood鈥檚 decision to join our community is a testament to the collaborative efforts that make such developments possible. We eagerly anticipate the positive impact this will have on our local economy and the continued prosperity of the region.鈥

The works on the unit have been completed by leading commercial property developer Stoford.

Edward Peel, Director at Stoford said: 鈥淚t鈥檚 great to see the completion of our 11th unit at Worcester Six. Bidfood joins a strong list of established occupiers that have chosen W6 as their home due to the high calibre of the accommodation and excellent connectivity. The completion of this unit is one of a number of exciting developments at the park, with recent investments unlocking more than 60 acres of land in the southern extension.鈥

Mark Wood, COO at Bidfood said: 鈥淭he introduction will provide an excellent addition to our network in and around 全国探花, offering superb transport links to the Birmingham and Midlands region, and serve the communities in which it operates by providing around 200 new jobs to local people. The development continues to emphasise the importance that we place on long term investment in our infrastructure, allowing us to provide service excellence to our customers.鈥

Worcester Six Business Park has already attracted world-class businesses like Siemens, Kohler Mira, ZwickRoell, and Spire Healthcare. Recent infrastructure improvements have unlocked more land for development, which will support further business investment and job opportunities for the county.
