Over 100 children and their foster carers enjoyed a fun-filled day at the Annual Foster Family Fun Day organised by ȫ��̽�� Children First's Children and Young People Participation team. Supported by a range of staff from the ȫ��̽�� Children First Through Care services. The children were entertained with a variety of engaging and educational activities including a Harry Potter Room and a bug hotel building activity.

Tina Russell, Director for Children Services and Chief Executive for ȫ��̽�� Children First, was delighted with the turnout, saying “It's wonderful to hear that so many Fostering Families attended our Annual Fun Day and I really appreciate the staff who attended to support this event!

“This event reflects the recent Fostering Ofsted report, where they found that carers support the children to experience a wide range of activities both with their foster families and with their peers in the wider community.

“Some of the Council’s corporate parents also attended the event, including Councillor Steve Mackay, who was happy to help and join in the fun. I am extremely grateful to Atalian Servest who provided free refreshments and who also donated funds to allow the purchase of sporting equipment for the event.”

Feedback from those who attended the Fun Day was overwhelmingly positive: “It was very enjoyable with plenty of things and activities for all children,” said one participant. Another participant said, “It was great to see ȫ��̽�� Children First staff getting involved and supporting the event.”
